MERCY JOHNSON GOES BLIND AFTER THREE MONTHS OF MARRIAGE

By: Online Publisher's

Here is the full story. Kindly share it..

Before

After
Sultry actress Mercy Johnson is no doubt a woman that cannot be toyed with in the Nollywood when the names of who is who in the Nigerian movie industry or even in the world for that matter are mentioned.

This is based on the agility she applies to her craft to dish out what she knows how to do best, which has untimately made her a celebrity to reckon with, but that is not the story for today. The one now is very disheartening if not unpalatable.

Not too long ago, precisely August 28 2011,the actress was in the news, putting an end to a conflicting story which emanated at a scene on the he above mentioned date. But this time,it might definitely not be the best of time for the Kogi State born diva,Mercy Johnson as the news you are about to read may sound bizarre.

Undoubtedly,Mercy Johnson is one of the best actresses in Nigeria who has carved a nitche for herself before her much publicized marriage to Edo-born prince,Odi,which might not even confuse one whenever she is being link to several scandals.

According to the information,Mercy Johnson was said to have engaged in a combat on a movie location in Asaba Delta State, with a colleague whose name has not been revealed to us.The brawl,we gathered, made her to lose one of her eye balls in the ensuing brouhaha.

Information from other sources however claimed that ever since the unfortunate incident, newly wedded Mercy Johnson has found herself pitiable in the unbelievable situation,as her family members have been running helter-skelter to ensure a surgical operation for her in London,so that the eye can at least return to a manageable state as the damage done to the right eye is very gory.

On the heels of this,we placed repeated and anxious calls to Mercy to know the truth of the matter before going to press, but our efforts proved abortive as her phone kept ringing without response.

But before the temper of you lovers of Mercy begin to palpitate, let’s quickly tell you that the flick we are referring to was written by Micheal Jaja, continuity by Prince Apex, costuming by Chioma Okafor,props/set by David Aginwa(Ghana) make-up by Gabazzini, managed by Boniface Ogbonnaya, produced by Magic Movies, and finally directed by Micheal Jaja.

COACH ALEX FERGUSSON LOOKS UNTO THE YOUTH FOR CHANGES.

Sir Alex Fergusson

Manchester United Manager Sir Alex Ferguson says that he will put his faith in youth for Wednesday's Carling Cup tie with Crystal Palace.

Ravel Morrison has been tipped for the top
• Rooney: Giggs deserves a statue
Ravel Morrison
Ravel Morrison
Fringe players like Darron Gibson, Mame Biram Diouf and Federico Macheda are set to make an appearance with the likes of Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez and Nani - who all featured in the 1-1 draw with Newcastle at the weekend - given the night off.

But it will be Ferguson's young charges who take centre stage as Chris Smalling has recovered from a cracked bone in his foot and will line up alongside Zeki Fryers, 18-year-old Frenchman Paul Pogba and highly-rated fellow teenager Ravel Morrison.

"There will be complete changes," Ferguson said. "Chris Smalling has come back and I may be able to play him. He's still young and it'll be a young squad against Palace.

"The only area where I've got problems is centre midfield. It's possible I could play Pogba in there but we'll wait and see. I've got enough players to choose from, that's for sure."

Speaking about Morrison in particular, Ferguson called him a "very talented boy" and says he has benefited from training with the first-team over the past couple of months.

"He has taken part in a lot of the first-team training now with [Paul] Pogba and Larnell [Cole]," Ferguson said. "They enjoy the challenge and it's interesting to see what they are like in these sessions and how they cope with the older players. It lets me judge their temperament and allows me to get a far better picture of how they're progressing and, while this is going on, you hope they're playing well for the reserves and displaying the right attitude and enthusiasm."

United last won the League Cup in 2010 when they defeated Aston Villa at Wembley and Ferguson thinks it is an ideal place to blood young players.

"I think the League Cup has turned into quite a good tournament," he added. "Clubs like United are able to introduce young players and ones who have not been playing regularly in the first team, and it's been good to us over the years.

"We've won two finals at Wembley with young players, which is good going, and I think it's become an important tournament for us in terms of getting the youngsters an introduction into winning and having an understanding of the progress they're making."

With this little effect i think there should be a lot of change.... Up MAN .U.

2012 GRAMMY NOMINEES

By: Online Publisher's

On Wednesday night (November 30), CBS will officially kick off the self-congratulatory season with "The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!!," an emphatically titled extravaganza that not only features performances from some of music's biggest stars (Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Usher, etc.), but also boosts the network's burgeoning LL Cool J branch by something like 20 percent, since he's taking leave from "NCIS" duties to host the telecast.

Oh, and as the title implies, they'll also be unveiling a handful of Grammy nominees too, which means that, once again, it's time for me to blindly speculate on who will get the nods. After all, it was less than 10 months ago that acts like the Arcade Fire and Esperanza Spalding shocked the world — or at least Steve Stoute — by taking home half of the so-called "Big Four" Grammys, victories that seemed out of place in just about every conceivable way, especially when you realize Taylor Swift, BeyoncĂ© and the Kings of Leon were the big winners at the previous year's show (though it should be noted people were still plenty mad about that too).

Combine that annual confusion with everything that goes on before the show — the addition of the so-called "Lady Gaga Rule," the subtraction of some 30 categories (farewell, Best Hawaiian Music Album) and the expansion (and subsequent contraction) of the Grammy eligibility period itself — and you can understand why trying to predict who will pick up nominations is nearly as impossible as attempting to figure out Herman Cain's taste in women.

Then again, perhaps this year is different. You'd have to be crazy to bet against Adele, who not only has the year's best-selling album and a pair of smash singles, but, as her previous Grammy wins prove, is exactly the kind of artist voters love. Katy Perry built off her Grammy noms last year by notching three #1 singles this year; Rihanna had two of her own. Lady Gaga sold 1.1 million albums in a week. Nicki Minaj broke through to the big time. Taylor Swift continued to be Taylor Swift. In short, 2011 was a year dominated by female artists, which means you can probably expect the same from the Grammy nominations too.
Grammy Award

Then again, keep in mind there are a bunch of albums released last year that are eligible this year — efforts like Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and Bruno Mars' Doo Wops & Hooligans — not to mention token old-dude releases by Tony Bennett and Paul Simon. And don't forget about country acts like Lady Antebellum and Jason Aldean. Or time-tested (Grammy-rich) rock outfits like Foo Fighters or Coldplay. Things aren't as cut-and-dried as you'd figure. These are the Grammys after all.

So here, without further ado, are my nomination predictions. And even though the Grammys cut back on categories, I'm just focusing on the Big Four: Album, Record and Song of the Year, plus Best New Artist. Cut me some slack — it's hard enough trying to sort through everyone who's even eligible.

Album of the Year
» Adele, 21
» Kanye West, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
» Lady Gaga, Born This Way
» Taylor Swift, Speak Now
» Tony Bennett Duets II

Like I said, Adele is a mortal-friggin'-lock here (and just about everywhere else), and since Gaga's last two efforts picked up AOTY noms, I think Born This Way is a shoo-in too. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy was a critical smash, and Kanye's been an AOTY nominee three times before, so pencil him in too. In a pinch, I'll take Taylor Swift and Tony Bennett in the last two slots, though they could easily go to Lady Antebellum's Own the Night and Simon's So Beautiful or So What, depending on the whims of Grammy voters. Having said all that, it wouldn't surprise me to see Doo Wops & Hooligans or the Foos' Wasting Light grab a nom either.

Record of the Year
» Adele, "Rolling in the Deep"
» Bruno Mars, "Grenade"
» Foster the People, "Pumped Up Kicks"
» Jason Aldean (featuring Kelly Clarkson), "Don't You Wanna Stay"
» Katy Perry, "Firework"

The award given to the artist, producer and mixer. Last year, Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now" bested the likes of B.o.B, Jay-Z and Eminem to win it, so the voters like to mix it up here. "Rolling in the Deep" is a no-brainer, and Bruno Mars was nommed last year for his work on "Nothin' on You," so I think he gets a nod for "Grenade." Katy Perry's "Firework" has been pushed hard by her label, so voters will probably reward its success with a nomination. I have a sneaking suspicion Foster the People are this year's token left-field nom (taking their place alongside former nominees like M.I.A. and Gorillaz), and since he's performing at the aforementioned nominations concert (and because his song was such a hit), I'll give the final slot to Aldean. Other dark-horse candidates include Gaga's "YoĂĽ and I," Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera's "Moves Like Jagger," Coldplay's "Paradise" or even (pleasepleaseplease) Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass."

Song of the Year
» Adele, "Rolling in the Deep"
» Bruno Mars, "Grenade"
» Katy Perry, "Firework"
» Lady Gaga, "YoĂĽ and I"
» Taylor Swift, "Back to December"

The award given to the actual songwriters. Generally speaking, Grammy voters like to get classy when it comes to nominees, which is why last year you saw folks like Ray LaMontagne and Miranda Lambert snag nods. I don't even have to tell you that "Rolling in the Deep" is the favorite, and I think Gaga gets a nod here too, since she was nominated for "Poker Face" a few years back and, well, "YoĂĽ and I" just has a certain gravitas to it. Voters love Swift, which means they'll probably love her mature turn on "December" too. I'll give Mars and Perry the final slots here, since the former knows how to write a surefire smash and the latter (or, more specifically, her team of writers) dared to get inspirational with "Firework." Then again, you could remove either of them and put defending champs Lady Antebellum (they won this one too) in the mix for "Just a Kiss" or maybe Aldean. A super long shot is Minaj's "Super Bass," but stranger things have happened.

Best New Artist
» The Band Perry
» Bon Iver
» Ellie Goulding
» Foster the People
» Nicki Minaj

Ah, Best New Artist — where "new" is a relative term. You've probably noticed I keep mentioning Nicki Minaj, who may get shut out of Record and Song of the Year, but seems like a lock to get nommed here (she probably won't win, though). Foster the People seem like sure bets too, as do the Band Perry, who fill the token country slot. My last two picks — eh, I'm basically just guessing, though Bon Iver's album sold surprisingly well and was a critical darling, and Ellie Goulding is, uh, British, and given that both Adele and Amy Winehouse won BNA previously, that may be enough to get her in. Other choices: the other Brit, Jessie J; the other country act, the Civil Wars; pop-meisters Hot Chelle Rae; singer/songwriter Christina Perri; or pintsize "America's Got Talent" runner-up Jackie Evancho.

Husband on Strike for Sex up to 6 Years Seeks Divorce

By: Online Publisher's

A vulcaniser has asked an Otto-Ijanikin Customary Court, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria to dissolve his marriage to his wife because she starved him of sex for six years. (Couple above)

The petitioner, Akinwale Ayinde Sodiq, accused his wife, Kashimawo, of starving him of sex since he was involved in an accident six years ago.

When I confronted her, she bluntly told me that my half-dead manhood can no longer satisfy her, it only tickles and leaves her high and dry.
Mr Akinwale, WTH do you want a woman to do with a penis that tickles? Lol! Not to laugh at him (God forgive me) it's just so funny...telling your husband - your penis only tickles me, get the heck out of here with that shit! lol.

A victim of 'fake doctor' named Oneal Ron Morris has come forward to show the horrific face

A victim of 'fake doctor' named Oneal Ron Morris has come forward to show the horrific state of her face after it was injected with a toxic mixture of cement and tyre sealant.

Rajee Narinesingh, 48, from Miami, Florida, said her face was ruined by Morris, who had just been released from custody after she was accused of administering the potentially lethal shots to another victim.

Ms Narinesingh, who, like Morris, 30, was born a man, but lives as a woman, said she suffered acutely lumpy cheeks, misshapen chin and ballooning upper lip after the back room beauty treatment.

The Federation Account Allocation Committee has divulged that it withdrew $2 billio

By: Online Publisher's

The Federation Account Allocation Committee has divulged that it withdrew $2 billion from the excess crude account to finance several projects across the country just as the presidential task force on power said privatisation in the power sector would be concluded by second quarter of next year.

Minister of State for Finance, Mr Yerima Ngama, who disclosed this said $2 billion withdrawn from crude oil savings was for “various projects” and distributed more money in October to the three tiers of government than the previous month.

He, however, told reporters that N615.76 billion ($3.85 billion) was distributed from the federation accounts to the three tiers of government for October, up from N611.5 billion in September.

He said: “We also released $2 billion from the Excess Crude Account, ECA, to the various arms of government for completion of various projects.”

Meanwhile, the presidential task force on power said, yesterday, it hopes to conclude power sector privatisation by the second quarter of next year.

Nigeria holds the world’s seventh largest gas reserves and is Africa’s largest crude oil exporter but only produces enough electricity to power a medium-sized European city.

President Goodluck Jonathan unveiled power privatisation plans 15 months ago and it was pledged that PHCN assets would be sold off this year. Jonathan has set out a ‘transformation agenda’ for Nigeria but plans to end fuel subsidies and reforms to the mainstay energy sector are locked in parliamentary dispute, while a sovereign wealth fund and next year’s budget are delayed.

268 people died on Lagos-Benin road – FRSC

By: Online Publisher's

THE Zonal Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr. Yakubu Attah, yesterday, raised the alarm over the spate of road accidents around the Ovia River, along the Benin-Lagos express road in Ovia North East Local Government Council of Edo State, just as he disclosed that no less than 268 lives have been lost along that Ovia section since July.
Attah, who disclosed this in Benin City during the flag off of the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) Preventive Road Maintenance and Survey Gang in the South South zone, stressed the need for more partnership between FERMA and the FRSC so as to curtail carnage on that highway.
According to him, “No amount of money can prevent accidents on our roads if we do not put things into proper perspective. I have always suggested that FERMA and the FRSC should work together for better results. The Ovia bridge area alone has claimed 268 lives in less than three months due to accidents, many of which are avoidable.
“Between July and October, that much number of Nigerians lost their lives along what ordinarily is a small portion of the Benin-Sagamu expressway.”
The Minister of Works, Arch.Mike Onolemenmen, who witnessed the occasion, traced the carnage along the Benin-Lagos express road to the recklessness of drivers. He however assured that work will be expedited on all such federal roads which he acknowledged constitute risk to Nigerians.
