Following the resounding success and acceptance it enjoyed in Uyo, Akwa Ibom capital three months ago, top Nollywood actress Ini Edo is set to bring her last movie ‘ I’ ll Take My Chance” to Lagos.
‘I’ll Take My Chances’ is a dance themed movie that is centred on love and the challenges faced in its pursuit by its two principal characters.
The actress who recently got her appointment with the United Nations renewed as the United Nations youth envoy on environment for another year is putting finishing touch to her preparation for this big show.
The movie, jointly produced with Emem Isong features Brian Okwarra, Jide Kosoko, late Sam Loco Efe and Ini Edo herself among others.
The Lagos premiere of the movie will take place later this month.
I’ll Take My Chances centers on a medley of drama, dance, love and suspense, which is intended for people who are very passionate about dance and movies but not like the type often portrayed in most Bollywood films, but this time, it’s more Nigerian in perspective and philosophy.
Directed by Desmond Elliot, a prolific actor, I’ll Take My Chances is a real departure from the frequently seen story lines in the movie industry as the content, style and philosophy behind it distinguishes it from most of the scripts daily churned out by directors and producers alike.

Glo-CAF African Footballer of the Year Award
By: Online Publisher's
In a few days time, Africa's new football king would be crowned in Accra, Ghana subject to Confederation of African Football (CAF) Awards Panel’s decision on who to succeed Indomitable Lions striker, Samuel Eto'o Fils, in the annual Glo-CAF African Footballer of the Year Awards ceremony.
Already, football pundits believe that the only person suitable to receive the continent's marble is Cote d'Ivoire and Manchester City’s player, Yaya Toure. The Barcelona’s former star is at his best and raring to do more with his English Club still topping the Premiership table this season.
According to the Supersport analyst and football agent based in South Africa, Mamodu Gaye, it would be more honourable to see Toure winning the award.
Gaye said the Manchester City’s midfielder has put in much for his club and country since last season and he deserves to mount the podium of honour. Toure is renowned for combining speed and physical power with technique on the field of play and has 58 caps for Cote d'Ivoire, representing the team in its first appearance in a FIFA World Cup, in the 2006 competition as well as in 2010. He is the younger brother of his Cote d'Ivoire and Manchester City’s teammate, Kolo Touré. He also has a younger brother named Ibrahim who currently plays for Egyptian side Makasa.
“Yaya is the player of the moment. He has everything going for him. He has every opportunity to win the award. I would have given it to Eto'o but he didn't measure up since he moved to Asia. He failed with his national team. No one could believe Cameroon would not qualify to play in the 2012 Nations Cup and for Didier Drogba, he didn't pick up at all. He has lost form. He scored just 2 goals for Chelsea this season,” he said.
The African Footballer of the Year award, presented to the best player each year, has been conferred by the CAF since 1992. An earlier African Footballer of the Year Golden Ball award was given out between 1970 and 1994 by France Football magazine.
The changes resulted in parallel Golden Ball awards given out to Abedi Pele and George Weah in 1993 and 1994 by the magazine. Although the CAF sponsored the awards won for those years by Rashidi Yekini and Emmanuel Amuneke. France Football discontinued the election from 1995 after the European Ballon d'Or - also awarded by the magazine, had been opened to all players in the European leagues.

Suspected ritualists dump baby in Festac swamp. Hands bound, baby organs removed
By: Online Publisher's
The suspected ritualists came in six cars and were about 15 men and a woman.
A source told Daily Sun that he saw the people who arrived the scene in their cars and became curious. “I saw when they carried something and entered into the bush. I wanted to challenge them but I was afraid, because they were many. Immediately they left after some minutes, I entered into the bush, where I saw a little baby whose hands were tied. We later invited policemen from Festac.
Similar sacrifice was performed at the same place, the same period last year. We decided to monitor their activities this year. We are really worried about this ugly development,” he said.
Policemen from Festac later visited the scene and took pictures of the baby.
When the Daily Sun called the command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Samuel Jinadu, to comment on the incident, he did not pick his calls.
A source at the Area ‘E’ Police Command Festac, who confirmed the incident said the headquarters had been duly informed.
Who are the parents of the baby girl that was dumped in a swamp by suspected ritualists at 6th Avenue, Festac, Lagos, on Monday?
This is the question agitating the minds of hundreds of people who besieged the area to catch a glimpse of the unfortunate baby. The bizarre act was carried out at about 12noon.
A close look at the baby whose arms were tied, revealed that her upper region was ripped open and some organs removed. Her mouth was also stuffed with some materials or items apparently used for the rituals. The uncensored photo when you continue...but please be warned that the photo is gruesome, heartbreaking, and so painful to look at...if you don't have the heart, don't continue...

SON CAUGHT FATHER CHILLING WITH HIS GIRLFRIEND IN THE BUSH
By: Online Publisher's
People in Muzarabani under Chief Hwata in Warambwa village were left tongue tied when a woman caught her husband being intimate with his son’s wife in a field on Tuesday last week.
The father was apparently having one hell of a ‘Field Day’ people have said! Promise Chapwanya was caught doing the father-in-law duties but not in the normal way, he was bonking Tendai Mugariri his daughter-in-law from the rear, the so-called doggy-style, while they were in the fields.
The two were taken to Sabhuku (headman) Alexio Mhasvi for the customary law court to answer for their misdeeds as it is taboo. Promise was caught by his wife Abigail Gumbo, who tracked them to the fields after seeing that the two were getting too close for comfort for a relationship between a father-in-law and a daughter-in-law. She is said to have hatched a plan after she suspected that something was happening between the two. Tendai was said to be wearing shorts that were too revealing in front of her father-in-law, raising her mother-in-law’s suspicion.
Sabhuku Alexio also confirmed that Abigail was also suspicious because the two always went to the garden and fields together. On the fateful day Abigail is said to have followed the two from a distance and caught them in the middle of the juicy act and doing the doggy style in the fields. H-Metro caught up with Promise at his home but he ran away before he said anything; he went behind his house and vanished into the bush.
Probably the SAME bush that protected him as he enjoyed the fruits of his son’s courtship skills as he ‘did’ his daughter-in-law. Promise’s lovebird Tendai said, “Zvamakanzwa ndizvozvo but I cannot say anything about that issue (What you heard is true but I cannot say anything about the issue).” Abigail the mother in-law said, “Nyaya iyoyo ine makuva pasi and handisati ndaona zvakadaro. (That story is deadly, but I have never seen anything like that).”
But she could not be drawn to saying much as she was afraid of her husband as she kept saying, “You should talk to my husband. After all he is the HEAD of the house.” Apparently he was giving more HEAD than he was expected to . . . giving his ‘services’ even to the daughters-in-law! Abigail also wanted to say much but she just said; “the matter is under chief Hwata tomorrow”, (Yesterday), “so I cannot say more and if you want more details you can come and listen to the story yourselves at the chiefs court tomorrow.”
However Abigail wanted to tell H-Metro more details and she said, “Let’s meet somewhere not here since ndingazomuka ndakafa zvikazivikanwa kuti ndakuudzai zvimwe (I might end up dead if it’s found out that I gave you more details).” She later changed her mind and did not turn up at the rendezvous, fearing for her life from her husband Promise. Simbarashe, Tendai’s husband and the man whose wife was playing hide-the-sausage with his father could only just shake his head and refused to comment on the issue.
He professed to be devastated. Tendai’s hesitation at the house was so tense that the four seemed not to be in talking terms as witnessed by H-Metro when Abigail refused to call Tendai so that she could be interviewed, Abigail kept saying, “Vadaidzei mega ambuya vangu (call my mother-in-law yourselves),” lamenting that she was now the muroora and not Tendai.
Village head Alexio Mhasvi said, “At my level I handle such cases but later refer them to the Chief.” Village head Mhasvi also said when they were at his court, Promise and Tendai denied that they were caught having sex in the bush, but that she was merely fabricating the whole story. The denial was short-lived as Promise’s brother is said to have also stood up and testified that he caught the two having sex in bush behind a baobab tree....
